Elon Musk’s SpaceXAI has launched a new version of the Grok Bot with an unusual enterprise directive: keep working after the conversation ends. The company describes the system as an agentic runtime rather than a simple chatbot, meaning the model can hold a task in memory, decide what needs to happen, call outside tools, and continue execution while people move on to other work.
The launch is aimed at companies that want to move beyond prompt-and-response AI. Instead of asking a model to write an email or summarize a report, Grok Bot is designed to do the full workflow: open the inbox, identify messages that need replies, draft the replies, send them or hold them for approval, calendar follow-ups, and then report what was done. In effect, the product turns an AI agent into an always-on worker that can operate during nights, weekends, and across time zones.
Key facts about the new Grok Bot
- Always-on operation: The bot can run persistent tasks in a managed cloud environment rather than responding only when a chat window is open.
- Grok-based models: The service draws on SpaceXAI’s Grok family of large language models for planning and reasoning.
